The selected candidate must be comfortable working onsite in Oakbrook Terrace, IL, on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Mondays and Fridays are remote.12-Month W2 Contract• This is a standard flex schedule – Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.Overview & ResponsibilitiesWork with a leading utility provider as a Systems Integration Engineer within the Distribution Standards department. This critical role serves as the technical "glue" between the business and IT during a massive enterprise migration from legacy Asset Suite systems to the modern IFS platform. You will be responsible for maintaining the tools that manage over 700 engineering standards while ensuring data integrity as these systems are modernized. You will…• Act as the technical representative for the department in conversations with enterprise IT teams regarding the IFS migration.• Maintain and provide Tier 3 "break-fix" support for existing legacy tools built on MS Access, Oracle, and Visual Basic.• Translate non-technical functional requests from material engineers into technical requirements for developers.• Enhance AutoCAD workflows using Lisp and VBA to automate the publication of engineering standards and PDF generation.• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards to track grid performance, project health, and department metrics.• Identify "technical debt" in legacy code and implement strategies to improve long-term system stability.Required Qualifications• Extensive experience with legacy technologies, specifically MS Access, Oracle AS8, and Visual Basic (VB).• Intermediate to advanced SQL coding abilities for database maintenance and reporting.• Proven experience in a "Business Analyst" capacity – gathering and documenting functional requirements.• Experience with AutoCAD automation using Lisp and/or VBA.• At least 2 years of experience building Power BI dashboards with multi-source data integration.• Ability to support approximately 12–26 end-users with technical tool issues.Preferred Qualifications• Degree in IT System Management or a related field.• Experience with Asset Suite (Enterprise Resource Management).• Familiarity with older mainframe environments, including JCL (Job Control Language) and DB2.• Experience integrating Adobe Pro or Nitro Pro for document automation.
