Systems/Network Engineer

Systems/Network Engineer – Long Term contract, Dahlgren, VA Certifications: Security+; CCNA (CCNA within 6 months) Clearance: TS Responsibilities Must have a strong background in Network switching and TCP/IP protocol analysis. This position requires strong communication skills and strong technical writing capability. Implement local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, and other data networks. Experience with network routers and switch configuration. Environment includes Artysen, Cisco, Mellanox, and Asante switches. Develop and execute test plans to check infrastructure and system performance. Perform network modeling and analysis. Define diagrams and designs for business technology initiatives. Enforce policies for standardizing systems. Qualifications Three years of experience in networking, IT, or related fields preferred. Familiarity with researching communication networks. Must have strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills. Strong attention to detail, good documentation skills, and the ability to write clear, concise project reports. Ability to function with minimal instruction or supervision, or as part of a larger team reporting to formal project management. CompTIA Security+ CE Certification or qualify for IAT Level II. Physical Demands Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds. Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time. Must be able to twist, bend, and squat periodically. #J-18808-Ljbffr
