Job Description Basic Qualifications Ability to develop new business and strategic plans to protect and grow business. Ability to lead in a functionally aligned organization. Ability to develop, maintain, and communicate performance based Earned Value metrics on a monthly basis to senior management. Responsibilities Sr. Program Manager for the United States Air Force Air Mobility Command and Air National Guard/Air Force Reserve C-130J Production program. Manage cost, schedule and performance for the program. Act as primary customer contact for C-130J-30 deliveries and coordinate all closing work. Direct all phases of programs from inception through completion. Coordinate subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Participate in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinate the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract. Act as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Establish design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test. Develop new business or expand the product line with the customer. Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules; identify program problems and obtain solutions (e.g., allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications). Direct the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.
