Task Project Manager 2 Location: Columbia, AL. (Farley Nuclear Plant) Contract- 5 Months Client- Southern Company Services. Position Overview The Task Project Manager 2 (Task Manager) is responsible for overseeing assigned projects and work tasks within the nuclear power environment , ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient execution. This role will primarily focus on field oversight activities , ensuring human performance tools are used to support safe and error-free performance, while also managing supporting office and administrative responsibilities. The successful candidate will play a critical role in coordinating with vendors, contractors, and site teams to deliver projects on time and in alignment with regulatory, safety, and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Provide task-level project oversight , ensuring adherence to project scope, schedule, and safety requirements. Enforce the use of human performance tools to maintain safe, error-free field activities. Conduct in-field oversight of technical tasks, such as heat exchanger sleeving or similar nuclear maintenance work . Track progress, resolve conflicts, and ensure compliance with timelines and site safety regulations. Collaborate and coordinate with vendors, contractors, and SNC site personnel to support safe and efficient execution. Prepare reports, maintain task-level documentation, and support project close-out requirements. Perform office and administrative tasks associated with project management (meeting notes, action item tracking, correspondence). Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree optional; equivalent nuclear project experience acceptable. Experience: 6–10 years of experience in task management or project oversight. Previous nuclear power experience required , preferably at an SNC site (Farley, Vogtle, or Hatch). Specific oversight experience with heat exchanger sleeving or related nuclear maintenance activities highly desired. Skills & Knowledge: Strong interpersonal and vendor coordination skills. Knowledge of nuclear project safety standards and regulatory requirements. Ability to work in-field (majority of duties) and perform office/administrative responsibilities as required. Demonstrated ability to ask the right questions at the right time to drive task success. Proven ability to work independently with limited oversight. Work Environment In-field oversight focus: Majority of duties will be performed at Farley Nuclear Plant within plant and construction environments. Some office/administrative work required.
