Responsibilities:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Accountant to support our tax, treasury, and risk management functions. This role is critical to ensure timely and accurate tax compliance. The ideal candidate will be a fast learner, have a foundation in accounting, sharp analytical skills, the ability to work independently, and a collaborative approach to working across departments.

In this role, you will be responsible for the following key areas:

Tax Compliance & Planning

  • Reconcile payroll tax filings on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

  • Prepare, file, and remit Sales & Use and Excise tax returns.

  • Prepare and file Income Tax returns for multiple entities.

  • Manage property tax filings and related documentation.

Collaboration & Analysis

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to support accurate tax analysis and reporting.

Accounting Support

  • Assist with general accounting tasks, including journal entries and account reconciliations.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in tax or accounting.
  • Associate’s degree in Accounting with relevant work experience required; Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred.

Skills & Attributes

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and the tax code.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook; familiarity with financial systems or ERP platforms is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Pay range for this position is $50,000 to $68,000 depending on experience.

Benefits for this role include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, FSA, HSA, 401(k) Plan with Company Match, Vacation & PTO, and Tuition Reimbursement. There is also a potential for a discretionary bonus this bonus is based on personal & company performance and is not a guaranteed bonus plan.
