This full-time role is ideal for professionals with 3+ years of experience in public accounting focused on tax preparation and compliance. The Tax Accountant / CPA will provide essential support to a growing accounting firm in High Point, handling individual, business, and corporate tax filings while ensuring accuracy and adherence to federal and state regulations. This position allows hands-on client interaction, workflow management, and contribution to strategic tax planning initiatives in High Point, NC. Candidates must hold a CPA license or be actively pursuing certification.

• Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations in High Point, NC.
• Ensure all tax filings comply with current federal, state, and local regulations.
• Advise clients on tax planning strategies, deductions, and methods to reduce liabilities.
• Analyze client financial records to uncover potential tax issues and planning opportunities.
• Collaborate with team members to manage workloads efficiently and maintain quality standards.
• Communicate with clients regarding tax filings, document requirements, and inquiries.
• Stay informed on changes in tax law affecting clients in High Point.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in tax accounting within public accounting.
