Tax Accountant Overview The Tax Accountant is responsible for preparing and supporting the company's income tax provision and related tax accounting in accordance with ASC 740. This role partners closely with Accounting and Finance to ensure accurate tax reporting for financial statements, while also supporting audits, tax research, and process improvements. Key Responsibilities Prepare and support quarterly and annual income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740 Calculate current and deferred tax expense, including deferred tax assets and liabilities Prepare and reconcile tax-related balance sheet accounts Support the identification, documentation, and analysis of uncertain tax positions (UTPs) Assist with tax disclosures for financial statements and footnotes Collaborate with Accounting and FP&A teams to ensure accurate book-to-tax differences Support external audits by preparing tax provision schedules and responding to auditor inquiries Perform tax research on income tax matters, tax law changes, and accounting impacts Assist with process improvements, documentation, and automation of tax provision workflows Support special projects and tax planning initiatives as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 2+ years of income tax experience with a focus on tax provisions Strong knowledge of ASC 740 and income tax accounting Experience preparing or supporting corporate income tax provisions Understanding of book-to-tax differences and deferred tax concepts Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience with tax provision software or ERP systems a plus Skills & Attributes Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage deadlines in a deadline‑driven environment Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams Professional judgment and discretion with sensitive information Pay Details: $75,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year Equal Opportunity Employer / Veterans / Disabled #J-18808-Ljbffr
