Tax Accountant Apply
The Senior Tax Accountant will be responsible for preparing federal, state, county, and local income tax returns for both individual and business clients.
Responsibilities:

Record daily accounting transactions and assist in preparing trial balances and financial statements.

Prepare accurate and timely individual and business tax returns along with supporting work papers.

Maintain a solid understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.

Stay familiar with relevant professional standards, including those from FASB, AICPA, and GASB.

Adhere to the AICPA Code of Professional Conduct and ethical guidelines.

Apply knowledge of IRC sections and related regulations to tax compliance and planning.

Demonstrate a working understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.

Conduct basic tax research to resolve issues and support accurate reporting.

Consistently meet billable hour targets and maintain accurate records of time and work performed.

Contribute to team goals through collaboration, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Qualifications:
-
6 10 years of hands-on experience in tax preparation for individuals and businesses.

Proficient in Thomson Reuters Professional Suite, including UltraTax, Accounting CS, Fixed Assets, and Planner.

Strong understanding of accounting standards, IRS codes, and tax regulations.

Working knowledge of QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online preferred.

Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Extremely organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.

Strong technology skills with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems quickly.

Proactive, eager to learn, and motivated to grow within the organization.
