Primary responsibilities include routine and non-routine tax and accounting tasks in all aspects of direct and indirect domestic and international tax, including: preparation of tax returns, journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, data maintenance, and other tasks.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist with the preparation of quarterly and annual Global income tax provision prepared in accordance with USGAAP ASC 740, including financial statements and related footnotes.Preparing transaction tax (VAT, sales/use, business & occupation, gross receipts, and property tax) returns for monthly, quarterly and annual filings.Interpreting and complying with state, local and international statutes, regulations, and legislationMonth end closing journal entry preparation.Assist in tax planning projects and other tax-related initiatives.Ensures compliance with tax related internal controls.Perform period end account reconciliations (balance sheet and income statement accounts)Assist with preparation of federal, state and local, international income tax returns, extensions and estimated payments.Participates with federal and state tax audits.Assist with the development and implementation of process improvementsMay perform other duties as assignedQualificationsEducation and ExperienceBachelor Level of Degree in the Accounting or related field of study0-2 years of demonstrated experience in accounting or taxSkills/KnowledgePrior experience with ERP accounting systems--Oracle preferredProven ability to work in team environmentEffective time management skillsAbility to manage sensitive data and maintain confidentiality at all timesProficient in the following computer software applications: Microsoft OfficeExceptional interpersonal skills.Strong organizational skills.Strong communication skills (written and verbal).Ability to effectively communicate both internally and externally.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance, instructions, and procedure manuals.
