JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Tax Compliance Specialist is responsible for the preparation of state tax returns and workpapers, tax research and special projects. Specific duties include: Prepare state and local income tax returns and workpapers; Prepare quarterly tax fixed asset analysis; Research and respond to notices from taxing authorities; Prepare Federal tax returns and workpapers, as needed; Participate in tax planning projects and other tax-related initiatives, as needed. Must have Bachelors degree in Accounting or Taxation from an accredited college/university and 4+ years of federal and state corporate income tax experience with a Public Accounting Firm and/or in Private Industry; Must be motivated, self-starter with the ability to work independently and as a member of the team; proven organization skills with critical attention to detail; analytical and problem-solving skills; strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with business partners; unitary and single entity state tax return preparation knowledge; knowledge of OneSource tax compliance software (also called GoSystems or Fast Tax); ability to perform tax research and write memos on state tax issues; a reputation and commitment to the highest standards of integrity and ethics; and proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)


Compensation Range:


Minimum: $69,230.00 - Maximum: $179,300.00
