Tax Supervisor We are seeking an experienced Tax Supervisor who will play a key role in managing tax engagements for middle‑market commercial businesses across a variety of industries. The individual will work closely with managers and partners to deliver high‑quality client service, oversee compliance engagements, provide tax planning support, and assist in the development of staff. This role requires strong technical knowledge, organizational skills, and the ability to build and maintain client relationships. Essential Duties Supervise and manage tax engagements for individuals, S‑corporations, partnerships, and LLCs across a variety of industries. Review federal, state, and local tax returns to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely filing. Assist with tax planning, consulting, and research projects for clients. Identify tax issues and develop practical solutions and recommendations for clients. Serve as a primary day‑to‑day contact for clients and maintain strong professional relationships. Supervise, mentor, and train tax associates and senior associates, providing guidance and performance feedback. Coordinate and collaborate with audit and advisory teams to deliver integrated client solutions. Stay current on tax laws, regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance and provide informed recommendations. Perform, document, summarise, and review tax research related to complex tax matters. Manage multiple engagements and competing priorities while meeting deadlines and maintaining high‑quality service standards. Qualifications Must be able to work in the office a minimum of 3 days per week. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited college/university required. MST a plus. Active CPA licence, EA certification, or progress toward certification preferred. 5 + years of progressive tax experience in public accounting, with a focus on middle‑market business clients; Real Estate industry experience a plus. Strong technical expertise in individual, corporate, partnership, and multistate taxation. Experience with high‑net‑worth individual taxation a plus. Proficient with MS Office Suite and tax software platforms required (e.g., CCH Tax, Caseware or similar). Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and mentor team members. Strong analytical, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with executive presence. Performing, documenting, summarising, and reviewing research conclusions regarding specific tax issues. Demonstrated ability to build relationships and contribute to firm growth. Compensation & Benefits The compensation for this position ranges from $95,000 – $115,000. Actual compensation will be dependent upon the specific role, office location and the individual’s qualifications, experience, skills and certifications.
