Minimum 1+ years Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Support a high school student with complex medical needs as a Paraprofessional specializing in Behavioral Support. This full-time, contract role in Wilmington, DE offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing dedicated, one-on-one assistance while fostering a safe and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 behavioral and medical support to a high school student with significant medical challenges.
  • Assist with daily care, managing fluids including saliva and vomit, ensuring the student's comfort and hygiene.
  • Support communication needs in non-verbal student using individualized methods (excluding ASL).
  • Collaborate effectively with educators, therapists, and family members to implement care and educational plans.
  • Maintain a professional, compassionate approach in handling sensitive medical-related tasks.

Required Qualifications:

  • Current LPN, CNA, or PCA experience is essential.
  • Completed paraprofessional certification or a minimum of 60 college credit hours.
  • Willingness to complete and pass the Paraprofessional Examination prior to beginning assignment if requirements are not yet met.
  • Female candidates preferred due to student comfort considerations.
  • Candidates must be comfortable with exposure to bodily fluids and related care routines.
  • Candidates with RBT certification must have BCBA supervision arranged before interview; direct supervision while working with the student is restricted.
  • Agreement to complete an $85 fingerprint-based background check.

Schedule and Location:

  • Monday through Friday, 7:15 AM to 2:45 PM, totaling 37.5 hours per week.
  • Role begins March 18, 2026, and concludes June 11, 2026.
  • Position is onsite in Wilmington, Delaware.
