Minimum 1+ years Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A part-time, on-site paraprofessional position is available in Semmes, AL, supporting school psychology services in a facilitator role. The assignment runs from March 2026 through May 29, 2026, with flexible hours ranging between 20 to 35 per week to align with the schedule of Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) on site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide paraprofessional support to school psychologists, speech aides, or teachers under the supervision of licensed professionals.
- Facilitate communication and coordination among school psychology staff to enhance student support services.
- Assist with various instructional and behavioral interventions for school-aged children.
- Collaborate with educators and specialists to support individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Maintain documentation and records as required by school protocols.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional, speech-aide, or school teacher preferred.
- Background or bachelors degree in psychology is highly desirable.
- Must be a U.S. citizen, 18 years or older, and local to the area.
- Two professional references required.
- Successful completion of pre-screening and internal interviews.
- Ability to meet time-sensitive credentialing requirements.
