Job Description
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid teaching certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing or related special education field.
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or other communication modes used within the Deaf/Hard of Hearing community.
- Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Strong ability to adapt instructional strategies to a variety of learning needs.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and fellow educators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver individualized and group instruction for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, ensuring accessibility to curriculum content.
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly to foster academic and social-emotional growth.
- Consult and collaborate with general education teachers, speech-language pathologists, audiologists, and other professionals to support inclusion.
- Advocate for student needs and provide resources and education to families and staff.
- Maintain accurate documentation, participate in IEP meetings, and fulfill compliance requirements.
