Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time position is available for a Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade in the Clarksville, TN area. This onsite role supports students in the school district located in the northern suburb of Nashville and runs from ASAP through May 20, 2026. The assignment involves working Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week, with caseloads and schools assigned based on current needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction and support for deaf and hard of hearing students across K-12 levels.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers to enhance student learning outcomes.
  • Monitor student progress and adapt services as required by evolving needs.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess an active Tennessee Department of Education certification in Deaf / Hard of Hearing education.
  • Experience working with deaf/hard of hearing students in an educational setting preferred.
  • Ability to complete required background checks and fingerprinting as part of credentialing.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills are essential.

Location: Clarksville-Montgomery County School System, Nashville area (northern suburb)
