Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A professional opportunity is available for a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing to support students within a school setting. This role is based in Westerville, OH, with both local and travel contract opportunities available. Travel candidates will benefit from special compensation options, including low taxable income, tax-free housing, and meal stipends.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
  • Collaborate with educational teams to develop and implement individualized learning plans
  • Utilize appropriate technology and communication strategies to enhance student learning
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods as needed
  • Provide support for students social and emotional development within the school environment

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
  • Experience working with students who have hearing impairments
  • Knowledge of auditory access technology and communication modalities (e.g., sign language, lip reading)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
