Job Description
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A specialized opportunity is available for a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to support students in a dedicated educational setting. Position Type: Contract (Travel and Local opportunities available)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instructional programs to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, audiologists, and support staff to develop and implement appropriate educational plans.
- Utilize specialized communication methods and technologies to enhance student engagement and learning.
- Provide ongoing assessment and documentation of student progress.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
- Experience working in educational settings serving students with hearing impairments.
- Knowledge of assistive technologies and communication strategies, including American Sign Language (ASL), FM systems, and auditory-verbal techniques.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
