Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid state certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing Education
• Demonstrated experience as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (schools setting preferred)
• Familiarity with assistive hearing technology and classroom accommodations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies for a variety of student needs
• Strong collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct specialized instruction to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in accordance with IEP goals
• Develop and implement lesson plans that accommodate students’ individual communication and learning needs
• Consult regularly with classroom teachers and support staff to facilitate student integration and progress
• Support family involvement through regular updates and education about strategies and resources
• Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, making necessary adaptations to instructional approaches
