Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time or part-time position is available for a certified Visually Impaired Teacher to provide specialized educational services in a school setting located in Peabody, MA. This contract role runs from January 26, 2026, through June 18, 2026, and requires onsite work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored instruction and support to students with visual impairments
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with state standards
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and families to optimize student learning
  • Utilize specialized tools and techniques to enhance accessibility and engagement
  • Maintain accurate records and progress reports to monitor student development

Qualifications:

  • Active Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) license for Teachers of the Visually Impaired
  • Successful completion of the Massachusetts Tests for Educator Licensure (MTELs)
  • Proven experience teaching visually impaired students in school settings
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

Location:Peabody, Massachusetts (Onsite only)
