Job Description
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Certified Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) or equivalent credential
- Previous experience working with students who are visually impaired, preferably in a school setting
- Familiarity with Braille instruction, assistive technology, and specialized materials
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner with teachers, families, and support staff
- Ability to assess student needs and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Comfortable providing both direct instruction and consultative services
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction to students with visual impairments based on their individual needs and IEPs
- Adapt curriculum materials and classroom environments to ensure accessibility
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to implement accommodations and modifications
- Provide training and guidance to staff and families regarding assistive technology and specialized instructional strategies
- Monitor and document student progress, maintaining thorough records
- Participate in IEP meetings, student evaluations, and multidisciplinary team planning
