Minimum Requirements

  • Arizona Elementary Certificate with Middle Grades General Science OR General Science Approved Area OR
  • Arizona Middle Grades Certificate with Middle Grades General Science OR General Science Approved Area OR
  • Arizona Secondary Certificate with Middle Grades General Science, General Science, Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry or Physics Approved Area OR
  • Arizona Subject Matter Expert Certificate 6-12 with General Science, Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry or Physics Approved Area
  • Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated success in engaging African American and Latino students
  • Bilingual (Spanish) endorsement

EFFECTIVE: 2023-2024 SCHOOL YEAR

LOCATION: Multiple Locations - District-Wide

FTE: Varies. Typical Teacher FTE 1.0, 7.5 hours per day.

WORK CALENDAR: 9.5 months - 207 days (212 days for new to district teachers)

New to District, Science teachers are considered Hard to Fill and are eligible for a one-time $5000 hiring stipend. The stipend is paid in two installments at the end of each semester. Pro-rated for employees who work less than 1.0FTE/207 days

Additional Information On The Teacher Hiring Process

Upon submission of a successfully completed application, you will be invited to respond to a one-way video screener. Screening Submissions are not required but are highly encouraged. Video Submissions are viewed by hiring managers at school sites. Based on the initial screening of your application and video responses, you may be invited to an interview (Zoom or In-person) at a school matching the employment preferences you listed in your online application.
