Salary Range: $75,000 - $87,000

Seeking a Software Engineer to evaluate and verify that F/A-18 Software Development products and software activities adhere to established standards and processes.

Essential Job Functions:

Perform software product and process evaluations using standards and checklists to verify accuracy of requirements, software deliverables, phase activities, milestones, and software releases.

Verify integrity of software build processes and content for delivered products.

Participate in product inspections through each phase of the software lifecycle. Investigate, analyze, and resolve reported software anomalies.

Report non-compliance issues to the Software Development Team Lead (or their designee).

Participate in process improvement activities as assigned.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering is preferred plus at least 1 year of relevant experience.

Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance for duration of the assignment.

Familiar with the software development lifecycle.

Experience in Software Quality Assurance.

Experience with interpreting flow charts, and Assembly Language.

Self-guided, inquisitive, and able to research how executables and scripts function by investigating source code.

Detailed-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with tact and professionalism.

Candidate must have the ability to work independently within a team environment.

Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Desired Skills:

Experience with low level software design, and structured software development methodologies.
