Pinchin is seeking a Team Leader to join our Site Investigation Services (SIS) team in Berkley, MI . The role reports to the Vice President. Site Investigation Services Overview The Site Investigation Services (SIS) team is a core group within Pinchin’s Environmental Due Diligence and Remediation (EDR) department. Our work helps clients understand the environmental conditions of their properties so they can make informed, responsible decisions. By assessing soil, groundwater, soil gas, and site impacts, we help uncover risks, guide compliance, and support safe land use. The SIS team plays a key role in protecting communities and improving the places where people live and work. You will work closely with colleagues and clients to understand their goals and deliver solutions that reflect quality, integrity, and care. This is meaningful work with real impact, and you will grow your skills while contributing to projects that make buildings and environments better. Your Impact as a Team Leader Responsible for team project and financial performance, ensuring the following: Profit and utilization targets of staff are met. Assigned employees perform administrative financial responsibilities on a timely basis. Ensure that a high-quality management, administrative, and technical service is provided by assigned staff and taking action as necessary. Perform project management and/or client management duties as appropriate. Represent the company when appropriate at top-level negotiations, discussions, contract signings, professional, and business meetings. Meet with your team regularly to discuss budgets, workloads, field work, procedures, identify issues/concerns. Direct supervision of all assigned staff ensuring engagement through effective performance management, training, and career development. Lead by example and in accordance with Pinchin’s Core Values and desired culture. Other duties as assigned. What You’ll Bring To Pinchin B.S. in Geology, Environmental Science, Natural Resources, or a related field. A related certificate or license such as CPG, CHMM, PG or similar is an asset. 7–10 years of consulting and staff management experience. Strong knowledge of Michigan Parts 201/213/31 Environmental Regulations, rules, and related guidance. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Excellent writing and documentation skills. Ability to read technical specifications, drawings, and reports. Valid driver’s license with access to a reliable vehicle. Work‑related travel is compensated. Ability to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision, and the ability to pass a company physical.
