Overview Join to apply for the Team Leader role at H&R Block . A typical day includes inspiring people to make confident, informed decisions, building client relationships, and leading a customer-centric team to accelerate seasonal tax business at a single H&R Block tax office. Responsibilities Lead daily activities to ensure tax office associates complete work on time with attention to quality and priorities. Provide leadership and development for tax office associates to deliver an outstanding client experience and achieve office growth objectives. Partner with the District General Manager to create and implement office-level growth plans, develop local partnerships, and manage office community involvement. Assist in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office positions; serve as the point of contact for escalated client service concerns. Schedule clients appropriately, resolve conflicts, and manage associate work schedules and timekeeping. Lead daily team meetings and train/coaching to execute Service Standards and recognize outstanding contributions. Prepare tax returns as required and provide knowledge on tax topics and products to associates. Conduct timely performance reviews and address performance concerns with appropriate resources. Qualifications Prior experience in customer service, shift leadership, or similar roles; experience supervising or managing people. Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns) and annual continuing education to meet IRS/state requirements. Computer proficiency with MS Office; ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Flexible work schedule and assignments based on business needs; high school diploma or equivalent or higher.
