Position: Team Operator - Shift 3
Location: Southington, CT 06489
Duration: 10 Months
Job Type: Contract
Work Type: Onsite
Shift Timings: Shift III Sun - Fri (10:45 PM - 7:15 AM)
Job Description:
  • The Assembly Team Operator is responsible for the operation of equipment, product segregation, quality inspection, disposition and documentation along with manual product assembly as required.
  • Perform basic preventive maintenance, changeover and troubleshooting on equipment; ensure compliance with SOP's and specifications; perform data collection and product dispositioning.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform start up and ongoing equipment and product inspections as required per applicable documentation.
  • Segregate and disposition product based on equipment and product inspections.
  • Conduct shop floor data collection tasks.
  • Perform manual assembly and product rework tasks as required.
  • Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformances relating to product and processes.
  • Write nonconformances and holds when required.
  • Scan product into MRP system; perform testing using computer; create traceability labels.
  • Initiate and recommend or provide solutions to quality or safety concerns through designated communication channels.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and business practices, including FDA regulations, GMP and ISO requirements.
  • Assist with the training of new Operators.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications:
Knowledge & Skills
  • Good Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge/use of computers.
  • Adequate fine motor hand coordination required.
  • Sound judgment for use in product disposition.
Minimum Qualifications, Education & Experience
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Less than 1 year of experience; manufacturing background preferred.
Work Environment
  • Work involves use of manufacturing equipment or close proximity to equipment.
  • May be exposed to biohazards and/or chemicals.
  • Work environment can range from clean room and proper gowning requirements to a production area that is open, potentially noisy and with moving equipment.
  • Recurring physical demands include standing, walking, stooping, crouching, climbing, bilateral motion involving hands, wrists and upper body.
  • Concentrated visual attention to perform checks on products and components.
  • Typically requires travel less than 5% of the time.
