Overview:
Anchor Trading is looking to hire a full-time Technical Account Manager in our Bergen County, New Jersey office.
A Technical Account Manager (TAM) in Digital Media acts as a technical liaison and strategic advisor for clients, bridging the gap between their business needs and the company's digital advertising products and services. They ensure clients understand and successfully utilize technical aspects of ad platforms, manage complex integrations, provide data-driven campaign insights and optimization recommendations, and offer troubleshooting support to maximize client ROI and satisfaction. Key skills include technical knowledge of ad-tech (DSP, SSP, etc.), data analysis, and excellent communication to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Support & Education:
- Provide day-to-day technical support, answer questions about product features, and educate clients on best practices for digital advertising platforms.
Strategic Guidance:
- Offer tailored advice and recommendations based on client business goals and performance data to improve campaign outcomes and drive ROI.
Technical Troubleshooting:
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to ad platform implementation, pixel tracking, and campaign performance.
Data Analysis & Optimization:
- Analyze campaign data, generate performance reports, and translate insights into actionable optimization strategies for clients.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal product, engineering, and sales teams to address client needs, provide feedback, and ensure client success.
Relationship Management:
- Build strong, long-term relationships with clients, acting as their trusted technical advisor and the primary point of contact.
Essential Skills:
Ad Tech Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of the digital advertising ecosystem, including demand-side platforms (DSPs), supply-side platforms (SSPs), and other key ad technologies.
Technical Proficiency:
- Familiarity with technologies like SQL, JavaScript, HTML, APIs, and data analysis tools.
Communication Skills:
- The ability to explain complex technical information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Problem-Solving:
- Creative thinking and strong critical thinking skills to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
Client-Facing Experience:
- Proven experience in a technical, client-facing role within the digital media or ad tech industry.
Project Management:
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Additional Qualifications:
- 5+ years working in a technical account/relationship management/client-facing role.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, preferred.
- Proficiency in JS, SQL, HTML, Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
- AdTech & Programmatic experience.
- Experience managing projects cross-functionally.
- Previous experience with web traffic analysis tools and ad serving tags.
- Previous experience working with APIs and SDKs.
- Critical thinking and the ability to think outside of the box.
- Presentation skills for QBRs (quarterly business reviews) and client stand-ups.
- Previous experience working with 3rd party advertising technology companies.
- In-depth knowledge of the ad tech ecosystem, its players, and how it all works.
