Role: Technical Designer- Must have extensive experience in at least one of the following categories: denim, soft wovens, structured wovens, and knits. Rate: $35-$40/hr based on experience Location: Culver City, CA Hybrid: Monday , Wednesday Friday- Onsite, 2 Days WFH most weeks Onsite Fittings Monday and Wednesday Start/End: Interviewing As Soon as Possible Freelance 6 months with potential to temp to hire Average 35 hours a week Job Description: This person will be supporting the Director of Tech Design by taking notes during fittings and process comments, then managing the tech pack through final prototype with the guidance of Director - Dir of tech design will be leading fittings. Designers will start the tech packs. Open on categories - Multiple categories: Denim, Sweaters Woven, Loungewear Leather; $100-$600 price point. Contemporary As a Technical designer, you will: Drive the construction of denim, knits, and/or wovens category products Help manage the internal brand initiatives to non-product teams Manage fittings and partner with fit models to properly execute the design vision for fit function Manage vendor communication through tech packs, an comments Manage calendars to ensure critical milestones are hit with cross-functional teams ? Maintain proper fit throughout the development process by providing vendors with detailed image-driven fit corrections Partner with design and development to ensure the proper selection of blocks and grade rules Provide technical expertise to internal and external partners 4+ years experience required in technical design Must have extensive experience in at least one of the following categories: denim, soft wovens, structured wovens, and knits. Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop ? Proficient in building BOM's and technical packages Ability to interpret design intent and alternative solutions Must be self-motivated and have the ability to see creative vision through, from inception to completion. Strong verbal and written communication skills Nimble, scrappy and adaptable.
