Position Summary TrueTimber Outdoors is a design, distribution, and sourcing company, with over 100 employees, located in Inman, SC. The company specializes in apparel, textiles, marine components, hydrographic film and outdoor recreational accessories. The company has experienced high levels of growth year after year and provides talented individuals accelerated career growth within the company. We are currently seeking a self-motivated, highly organized Technical Designer to join our team. As a technical designer, you will work with the product development, sourcing, and merchant teams on new and existing styles to develop tech packs and garment specs for costing and production. Key Responsibilities Coordinate with our Product Development/Merchant Team on all new and existing styles to create development tech packs for both costing and production. Initiate technical sketches, sew details, complete bill of materials, and garment specs, including grading. Work closely with the product development/merchant team to ensure all technical design details are incorporated and updated in the production tech packs on newly adopted styles. Work closely with the product development/merchant team on labeling and packaging for all garments. Work closely with our merchants on new product designs. Experience in PLM to maintain changes and comments. Communicate closely with the factories and merchants on fit and construction issues as they arise. Audit incoming fit, preproduction, and photoshoot garments for quality and accuracy as they are received from the overseas factories. Maintain daily contact with factories resolving any questions or potential quality concerns as the factories go through the preproduction and production stages of the garment manufacturing process. Responsible for maintaining consistency of fit and quality for the branded product. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications Must have strong sketching skills Must be proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Excel Must have a strong understanding of grading and grading rules Must be able to manage tight timelines and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously Strong understanding of fabrics, trims, and color Strong written and verbal communication skills Attention to detail and accuracy is critical Must work well in a team unit Proficient in problem solving; strong math skills Good organizational skills: ability to prioritize workload 3-5 years’ experience in the apparel manufacturing industry Full Time Benefits Summary Enjoy discounts on retail merchandise, our restaurants, world-class resorts and conservation attractions!
