Technical Leader In VascularMedStar Health is looking for a full-time Technical Leader in Vascular to join our team at MedStar Cardiovascular Associates at Annapolis. This position will also travel to Kent Island and Bowie locations. Hours are Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm.The Technical Leader Vascular assists in the supervision and direction of the daily activities for the practice-based Vascular Lab. Performs vascular testing procedures, assists with scheduling, prepares vascular lab billing, and manages clinical research projects, and vascular lab supply/equipment maintenance. We provide a supportive and inclusive work environment, comprehensive health and wellness benefits, generous paid time off, tuition assistance, retirement plans, and many other benefits focused on your wellbeing.Primary Duties:Ensures departmental compliance and accreditation by maintaining goals, policies, quality, safety, and regulatory standards; coordinating accreditation and reaccreditation processes; monitoring report interpretation protocols; and adhering to Safety and Infection Control programs, including equipment maintenance and Universal Precautions.Performs and oversees high-quality vascular testing by completing patient histories, physical exams, and technically adequate procedures; obtaining and documenting optimal images, Doppler data, and measurements; identifying abnormalities; educating patients and families; and immediately notifying physicians of critical findings.Manages operations, equipment, and budget across sites by assisting with equipment and vendor selection, purchasing, inventory control, and utilization; recommending and monitoring operating budgets; ensuring efficient scheduling, staffing coverage, and timely completion of tests at multiple locations.Coordinates administrative, billing, and clerical functions by ensuring complete patient data prior to billing and interpretation; meeting all MedStar Health billing and documentation requirements; maintaining statistics; managing records; and clarifying testing requests in ambiguous situations.Provides leadership, education, and continuous improvement by acting as a liaison with physicians; participating in committees, community outreach, quality improvement teams, and clinical research; completing required CME; assisting with staff selection, training, supervision, performance evaluations; and contributing to policy, procedure, and protocol development.Qualifications:Graduation from an accredited ultrasound program (Required)12 Months' experience in vascular testing procedures (Required)Associate's degree in the allied health field (Preferred)1-2 years' Experience in vascular testing procedures or no experience required for graduates of an accredited ultrasound program (Required)ARDMS- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonography ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) registration or registry-eligible in Vascular Technology, or RVS (Registered Vascular Specialist) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (Required)RVS-Registered Vascular Sonographer ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) registration or registry-eligible in Vascular Technology, or Registered Vascular Specialist from Cardiovascular Credentialing InternationalThis position has a hiring range of USD $42.82 - USD $78.27 /Hr.
