This includes product and process testing and specifications, CI activities, fiberizer performance and component makeup. Direct reports include lab testing personnel and Process Engineer.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Ensure regulatory compliance for all processesDemonstrate personal value and establish standards of excellence.Ensure new processes or products are safe from trial/design through commercializationPHA, Safety Reviews, Ergonomic reviews, Environmental Reviews, etcEnsure all team members operate safely and in compliance.Integrate corporate core initiatives at Plant LevelEnsure adequate training (Knowledge transfer) of all employees, visitors, contractors, and current employeesMaintain employee records and appropriate statistics/data required to comply with company policy,EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:Bachelor’s Degree plus 3+ years of technical manufacturing experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.Working knowledge of engagement, workforce planning, SPC, problem solving techniques and design of experimentsCORE COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:Strong sense of leadership, integrity, and accountabilityExcellent verbal and written communication skillsPHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.Physical Demands: While performing duties of this job, the employee is often required to stand, walk, sit, talk, use hands to lift, carry, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance, stoop. The employee is often required to lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Occasionally required to climb stairs, kneel or crouch, balance.Work Environment: Regularly exposed to hot and/or humid conditions in warmer months; wet and/or slippery areas, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. Work near moving and/or vibrating mechanical parts.
