With a pipeline of 100+ units, they take a progressive approach to environmental impact and high-performance housing.As Technical Lead, you will manage complex developments from planning through to site delivery, ensuring that design innovation is seamlessly balanced with buildability and commercial viability.Key Responsibilities:Design Leadership: Lead the design process for multi-unit schemes, managing external architects and specialist consultants to ensure technical packages are high-quality and timely.Technical Compliance: Manage the discharge of planning conditions, Building Regulations, NHBC approvals, and utility agreements.Sustainability Integration: Oversee the implementation of low-carbon energy strategies and the use of innovative, sustainable construction materials.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Land and Commercial teams to provide technical insight during feasibility, ensuring all designs are value-engineered and buildable.Project Management: Chair design team meetings and act as the primary technical point of contact for the production and site teams.Candidate Requirements:Hold a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or a related discipline) and have a proven track record in a technical management role within the housing sector.Be passionate about challenging the status quo. You must understand embodied carbon, operational energy and the nuances of regenerative development.You must possess a high level of technical competence with the ability to spot risks and opportunities in complex engineering drawings.Enjoy working in a creative, fast-paced environment and can communicate complex technical requirements to both site teams and stakeholders.Comfortable working with non-traditional materials and finding engineering solutions where none currently exist.Ref: 4265IG
