We are specialists in recruiting for both the private and public sectors, supporting the integration of professionals across the entire spectrum of businesses and industries.Our Client is building a fast-growing organization, a new high-tech company in Portugal focused on the industrialization and serial production of advanced client products, primarily in the field of robotic and unmanned systems. We are looking for a Technical Procurement who will support sourcing and procurement activities for both client programmes and internal product development.ResponsabilitiesTechnical Procurement Source and purchase technical parts, materials, sub-assemblies, and services to support R&D, prototyping, and series production; Collaborate with engineering teams to clarify technical needs, specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOMs); Request, analyse, and compare supplier quotations considering both technical and commercial aspects; Issue and follow up on purchase orders, ensuring compliance with delivery schedules, cost objectives, and quality standards.Supplier Management Identify, assess, and contribute to the development of national and international suppliers; Maintain regular communication with suppliers regarding lead times, modifications, and delivery progress; Support monitoring of supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery reliability, and responsiveness; Assist in managing backup suppliers and implementing risk mitigation measures.Industrialisation & NPI Support Contribute to the industrialisation of customer products and internal developments; Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from a procurement standpoint; Support cost structure analysis and make-or-buy evaluations; Assist with engineering changes (ECO/ECN) and ensure corresponding procurement updates.Planning & Coordination Work closely with planning and supply chain teams to guarantee material availability; Support inventory planning and stock level optimization; Coordinate procurement activities throughout prototype, pilot, and serial production stages.Cross-Functional Collaboration Work in close cooperation with R&D, engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams; Support accuracy of ERP / MRP data, including BOMs, lead times, and pricing; Contribute to compliance, quality, and certification requirements when applicable.RequirementsMore than 3 years of experience in technical procurement or sourcing;Background in high-tech manufacturing, electronics, mechanics, mechatronics engineering;Experience working with technical drawings, specifications;Familiarity with supplier qualification and contract manufacturing;Understanding of procurement processes in R&D and industrialisation environments;Good negotiation and commercial awareness;Comfortable working in a dynamic and growing environment;English – fluent (working language).Opportunity to join a project from the very beginning, in a dynamic environment with prospects for career growth and development.Interested candidates, in compliance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), are invited to read the privacy policy at of Gi Group Holding, Gi Group recognises and respects the diversity of people and believes that providing equal opportunities through fair processes based on meritocracy and professional competence, valuing the diversity of similarities and differences that create each person's uniqueness, and promoting a culture of inclusion by eliminating factors that discourage or hinder access, permanence and growth in the world of work is fundamental to its success.
