ABOUT THE ROLE
The Technical Project Manager will join the Project Management Office (PMO) team to drive IDM initiatives within the Oil and Gas sector. This role requires a strong background in SCADA platforms, experience in Exploration & Production (E&P) and Midstream operations, and proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Planning and Execution
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including objectives, deliverables, milestones, and resource requirements.
- Implement and manage project methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and Kanban, tailored to project needs.
- Align project scope and goals with business objectives, focusing on industrial data management.
Team Leadership and Stakeholder Management
- Lead cross-functional teams comprising engineers, geologists, technicians, and control system specialists.
- Facilitate effective communication among internal teams, external clients, and regulatory bodies.
- Engage with end-users and control system stakeholders to meet project requirements and expectations.
Technical Oversight
- Oversee the integration and implementation of SCADA platforms within Oil and Gas environments.
- Ensure compliance with customer requirements and industry regulations.
- Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) to guarantee that IDM solutions meet quality standards.
Risk and Resource Management
- Identify and mitigate risks specific to industrial data management.
- Develop disaster recovery plans to maintain data integrity and system reliability.
- Optimize the allocation of resources, including personnel, equipment, and budgets.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting
- Track project progress against metrics, timelines, and financial KPIs.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on project phases, including status updates, issues, and achievements.
- Conduct post-project analysis to identify areas for improvement in IDM processes.
REQUIREMENTS
- Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years in project management within the Oil and Gas sector, focusing on IDM.
- Expertise in SCADA platforms for E&P and Midstream operations.
- Certifications: PMP, PMI-ACP, CAPM, or equivalent.
SKILLS:
- Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Proven ability to manage complex technical projects involving control systems and diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management tools, SCADA, DCS, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with industry standards (ASME, API) and quality processes.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS:
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Snowflake Data Cloud is advantageous.
- Knowledge of skid-packaged equipment and control systems in the natural gas industry.
- Understanding of regulatory compliance in the Oil and Gas sector.
