Job Description / Preferred Qualifications The Engineering Services Technical Project Manager leads and coordinates complex technical projects that support engineering business processes, product lifecycle management (PLM), enterprise system enhancements, and digital transformation initiatives. This role partners closely with Engineering, Information Technology (IT), Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Service, and other business stakeholders to define project scope, translate business requirements into actionable plans, manage schedules and risks, and drive successful execution from project initiation through implementation. The ideal candidate combines strong technical project management expertise with hands‑on knowledge of PLM and ERP environments. This individual will play a key role in optimizing engineering and business processes, improving system capabilities, driving user adoption, and ensuring the successful delivery of strategic initiatives across a global, matrixed organization. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage complex technical projects supporting engineering operations, PLM systems, ERP integrations, and business process improvements. Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders to gather business requirements, define project scope, establish objectives, and develop comprehensive project plans. Drive project execution from initiation through implementation, including schedule management, risk mitigation, issue resolution, resource coordination, and stakeholder communication. Collaborate with Engineering, IT, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Service, and other business teams to ensure alignment of project goals and business priorities. Facilitate process improvements and system enhancements that support engineering change management, product data management, and digital transformation initiatives. Manage project governance activities, including status reporting, milestone tracking, executive updates, and project documentation. Identify project risks, dependencies, and constraints, and proactively develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes. Support user adoption efforts through communication, process documentation, training materials, and change management activities. Ensure business requirements are translated into clear technical and functional specifications that support organizational goals. Drive accountability and collaboration across globally distributed teams and stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Proven experience managing technical projects from initiation through completion, including scope definition, schedule planning, risk management, issue resolution, stakeholder engagement, and successful delivery of business outcomes. Strong understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, including hands‑on experience with ENOVIA or similar enterprise PLM platforms. Working knowledge of SAP or equivalent ERP systems, including material master data, part management, Bills of Material (BOM), engineering change records, and related business processes. Experience supporting engineering workflows, configuration management, product data management, and engineering change processes. Demonstrated ability to lead complex cross‑functional projects involving Engineering, IT, Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and business stakeholders. Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills with the ability to translate complex technical and business requirements into actionable plans and measurable results. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop project plans, executive presentations, status reports, process documentation, and training materials. Proven ability to influence stakeholders, build consensus, and drive accountability without direct authority in a matrixed organization. Experience working in global environments with geographically dispersed teams and stakeholders. Experience supporting digital transformation, process optimization, and enterprise system implementation initiatives. Knowledge of engineering product structures, configuration management, BOM management, and product data governance processes. Familiarity with PLM‑to‑ERP integrations and downstream business process dependencies. Experience driving organizational change management and user adoption initiatives. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent project management training preferred. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree plus 8 years' experience or Master's degree plus 6 years' experience or PhD plus 3 years' experience. Base Pay Range: $159,500.00 – $271,200.00 Annually. Primary Location: USA-CA-Milpitas.
