Job Description

Technical Project Manager Systems & Data Integration

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Project Manager (TPM) with a strong System Integration background. In this role, the candidate will lead the end-to-end delivery of complex, multi-track integration initiatives, connecting disparate enterprise applications, cloud architectures, and legacy infrastructure into cohesive data ecosystems. You will act as the vital bridge between technical development teams, solution architects, and senior business leaders.

Key Responsibilities

Integration & Technical Governance

  • Manage end-to-end integration life cycles from initial discovery, API/architecture design review, mapping, implementation, to post-production testing and validation.
  • Coordinate technical dependencies across middleware platforms, enterprise service buses (ESBs), API gateways, and ETL/data streaming pipelines.
  • Partner with Solution Architects to ensure that data flows conform to strict security-by-design principles, compliance standards, and corporate governance.
  • Enforce technical quality standards, verifying that error handling, telemetry, and integration testing frameworks are uniformly implemented across workstreams.

Project Delivery & Execution

  • Build granular Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and detailed project plans that accurately map out sequential milestones, testing windows, and system switch-overs.
  • Facilitate Agile and hybrid rituals (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming) using standard industry platforms like Jira and ServiceNow.
  • Identify, log, and mitigate risks associated with data loss, breaking upstream/downstream changes, and vendor API limitations.
  • Manage vendor relationships and offshore/onshore personnel, aligning third-party release schedules with internal deployment timelines.

Stakeholder Liaison & Communication

  • Translate highly complex architectural maps and data schemas into clear, milestone-driven business outcomes for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Manage conflict and scope changes quickly by facilitating objective tradeoff discussions around time, performance boundaries, and cost.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or an equivalent technical field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 6 years of technical project management experience, with at least 3 years dedicated explicitly to complex system integrations or data-sharing implementations.
  • Core Technical Knowledge:
  • High fluency with APIs (REST, SOAP), Microservices, JSON/XML data formats, and webhook architectures.
  • Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure components (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and container ecosystems (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Practical understanding of enterprise integration concepts, such as point-to-point connections, pub/sub messaging, queueing systems, and batch ETL workflows.
  • Methodologies & Tools: Expert proficiency in Jira, Confluence, or equivalent project tracking platforms leveraging Scrum/Kanban frameworks.
  • Certifications (Preferred): Project Management Professional (PMP) or Agile Scrum Master (CSM) credentials.
