About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Proposal Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in crafting compelling proposals for federal, state, and county government solicitations. You will collaborate with subject matter experts, capture managers, and other team members to develop clear, concise, and compliant proposals that align with solicitation requirements and demonstrate our organization's capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proposal Development: Analyze Request for Proposals (RFPs), Request for Quotations (RFQs), and other solicitation documents to understand technical, functional, and compliance requirements.
  • Writing and Editing: Author and edit technical content, including executive summaries, technical volumes, past performance sections, and staffing plans.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with capture teams, technical leads, and subject matter experts to gather input and refine proposal content.
  • Compliance and Formatting: Ensure proposals meet solicitation guidelines, evaluation criteria, and formatting standards (e.g., font size, page limits, templates).
  • Proposal Strategy: Contribute to win themes, differentiators, and strategies tailored to specific government opportunities.
  • Version Control: Maintain and manage proposal drafts, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and version control throughout the proposal process.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct research to strengthen proposal content, including reviewing competitor analysis, industry standards, and agency priorities.
  • Process Improvement: Assist in improving proposal processes, templates, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience writing and managing proposals for federal, state, or county government opportunities.
  • Technical Expertise: Familiarity with a wide range of government solicitation types, including IDIQ, BPA, and task orders.
  • Skills:
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to produce error-free, persuasive, and compliant content.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, and proposal management tools (e.g., SharePoint, Privia, or similar).
    • Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge:
    • Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and government procurement processes.
    • Experience responding to GSA schedules, agency-specific requirements, and small business set-asides is a plus.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field. Equivalent experience will be considered.
