About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Technical Sales Support (TSS) Manager to lead technical support and service operations. This leadership role is pivotal in ensuring exceptional customer experience, overseeing engineering modifications, and aligning product capabilities with client needs. You will act as a key liaison between internal teams, engineering headquarters, and customers—driving performance, innovation, and satisfaction.
What You’ll Do:
Lead and manage the TSS team (both onsite and remote), overseeing time tracking, training, and skill development.
Review and approve engineering drawings and design documentation, ensuring all technical changes meet customer requirements.
Collaborate with engineering leadership on product modifications and improvements.
Prepare proposals and quotations in coordination with Sales and executive leadership.
Provide expert consultation to customers via phone, email, and site visits, ensuring accurate application recommendations and problem-solving.
Support basic engineering design, testing, and troubleshooting efforts.
Liaise between customers and internal departments such as fabrication and engineering.
Investigate and resolve production issues and implement process improvements.
Recommend upgrades to equipment and procedures to enhance quality and efficiency.
Monitor operations to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Participate in relevant training and continuously support company policies and safety protocols.
What You’ll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical preferred)
5+ years of experience in manufacturing or technical support
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and product capabilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage both people and processes in a fast-paced technical environment
Willingness to travel occasionally (domestically and internationally)
