You’ll be:• Proficiently performing remote troubleshooting of power assets escalated from Fleet Support Operators using advanced digital tools.• Documenting and communicating technical data generated by assigned projects in line with engineering policies and procedures.• Providing timely communications and escalating significant issues or developments observed during day-to-day monitoring to respective stakeholders.• Read, understand, execute and seek opportunities to highlight updates as needed for Fault handling procedures.• Document and communicate the technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and procedures• Adhere to applicable regulatory compliance requirements as applicable to local requirements.• Support (and potentially execute) Parameter and Software updates as needed or requested by leadership.• Provide timely communications/escalate with the respective stakeholders on significant issues or developments observed during day-to-day monitoring• Participate in teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issues• Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures• Actively feed lessons learned back into procedures and quality checks to drive ROC world class operational excellence• Resolution and troubleshooting of ServiceNow support cases.• Assist as requested to train new employees.• Document all work performed via guidelines in approved procedures and appropriate playbook via provided digital tools.• Support as requested planned and unplanned Balance of Plant responsibilities as well as Fleet Support Operator responsibilities should a need arise,• Actively manage customer phone support requestsThis job might be an outstanding fit if you:• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Energy Technologies, Operations, or Computer Science, OR an Associate’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of technical experience, OR a High School Diploma/GED with 4 years of technical experience.• Are willing to travel up to 10% and work out of the Schenectady office on a 24/7 rotating shift structure, including potential on-call support.• Are willing to travel up to 10% and work out of the Schenectady office on a 24/7 rotating shift structure, including potential on-call support.Desired CharacteristicsStrong oral and written communication skills.Ability to learn technology outside of one's specialtyAbility to analyze and execute technical processesSelf-driven and ability to demonstrate leadership skillsAbility to make decisions and to adopt responsibilityAbility to work with multicultural teams, strong team playerHigh flexibility and motivationWhat happens nextOnce you apply, you’ll proceed to the next steps if your skills and experience look like a good fit.
