Job Description:We're looking for a passionate and experienced Technical Leader to transform our team of 70 talented software engineers into a team that embraces quality as a first principle and builds full Test Automation holistically as part of our SDLC. The ideal candidate will have deep respect for a healthy test pyramid, broad exposure to common test automation frameworks for both web and mobile, and a solid background in QA fundamentals and processes. The candidate we hire will step into a strategic leadership role that requires both technical expertise and the leadership maturity to win hearts and minds without direct management authority.The Purpose of Your RoleLeverage the expertise of our Quality Center of Excellence (CoE) to bring an embedded quality mindset to the software engineering teams building Fidelity’s web and native mobile app experiences.Teach CoE-defined Best Practices around Automation Technology, Test Pyramid health, Release Management, SDLC Ways of Work, and Definition of Done.Accountable for Team outcomes and success metrics around Test Coverage, Automation Levels, and Change Failure Rate.Mentor and collaborate with team and project leads, as well as our CoE to develop Test Strategy and ScopeMonitor and Organize Test Suites to balance reliability, coverage and developer productivityThe Expertise We’re Looking For 8+ years of professional experience writing code in TestExperience building Test Automation for native iOS, native Android and web applicationsSoftware Engineering experience or exposure; ability to read and understand Unit and Integration Test CodeExperience managing Automated Functional test suites to balance reliability, coverage and developer productivityExperience managing CI/CD pipelines, test automation tooling and framework, feature-toggle management tooling, test environments and test data creation and maintenance, and vendor relationships.Nice to have Skillsets include XCUITest (iOS/Swift) and Espresso, Compose (Android/Kotlin)Playwright (Angular/ Javascript), Appium (Python or Javascript), and/or Wiremock experience is a plus The Skills You BringStrategic mindset, strong communication skills and deep technical expertise to drive and participate in meaningful discussions.Mindset of test first development and experienced in modern test frameworks.
