Position
Technical Support Engineer

Summary
A Japanese equipment manufacturer is seeking a bilingual Technical Support Engineer specializing in diagnostic imaging equipment. The ideal candidate will excel in a collaborative environment, support technical initiatives, and ensure exceptional customer service. This role involves cross-functional teamwork, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and maintaining compliance with company standards. Fluency in both English and Japanese is required.

Essential Duties
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Electrical, Firmware, and Production Engineering, to support technical projects.
  • Generate and update engineering documentation, departmental procedures, and flowcharts.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for diagnostic imaging equipment.
  • Perform repairs, scheduled preventive maintenance, and calibrations to ensure system functionality.
  • Document service activities, including field service tickets, QA forms, and inspection reports, in compliance with company standards.
  • Maintain inventory integrity and manage company assets.
  • Work closely with customers, sales teams, and operations to address technical issues and clarify customer requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to Quality Management Systems and support company-wide initiatives.
  • Travel to various sites, including overnight stays and air travel, as required.

Monday - Friday; 9:00 - 17:30

$54K - 60K

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a mechanical engineering role within the machinery department.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and a positive professional attitude.
  • Business acumen and customer service orientation.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs., frequently stand, walk, and perform manual tasks.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license.
