Technical Support Engineer
Summary
A Japanese equipment manufacturer is seeking a bilingual Technical Support Engineer specializing in diagnostic imaging equipment. The ideal candidate will excel in a collaborative environment, support technical initiatives, and ensure exceptional customer service. This role involves cross-functional teamwork, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and maintaining compliance with company standards. Fluency in both English and Japanese is required.
Essential Duties
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Electrical, Firmware, and Production Engineering, to support technical projects.
- Generate and update engineering documentation, departmental procedures, and flowcharts.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for diagnostic imaging equipment.
- Perform repairs, scheduled preventive maintenance, and calibrations to ensure system functionality.
- Document service activities, including field service tickets, QA forms, and inspection reports, in compliance with company standards.
- Maintain inventory integrity and manage company assets.
- Work closely with customers, sales teams, and operations to address technical issues and clarify customer requirements.
- Ensure adherence to Quality Management Systems and support company-wide initiatives.
- Travel to various sites, including overnight stays and air travel, as required.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a mechanical engineering role within the machinery department.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative problem-solving skills and a positive professional attitude.
- Business acumen and customer service orientation.
- Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs., frequently stand, walk, and perform manual tasks.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license.
