Technical Thermoforming Manager Apply
The Technical Manager - Thermoforming role is a leadership position responsible for managing thermoforming technical teams and maintenance systems, with a focus on process optimization and continuous improvement. This person will oversee technical operations, preventive maintenance, and regulatory compliance within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, particularly in packaging or food-related production. A strong focus on driving productivity, leading cross-functional teams, and ensuring equipment reliability is key. This role also involves strategic problem-solving and implementing lean manufacturing principles.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage technical teams in thermoforming processes, including engineers and technicians.
• Oversee maintenance systems, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance for thermoforming equipment.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and optimize overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (SQF, OSHA, ISO).
• Provide project management and process optimization.
• Collaborate with other departments such as production, quality, and environmental health & safety.
Required Skills:
• Leadership & Team Management: Proven experience in leading technical and maintenance teams.
• Process Optimization: Expertise in driving productivity improvements, reducing downtime, and enhancing operational efficiency.
• Thermoforming Knowledge: Strong understanding of thermoforming machinery and related technical activities.
• Technical Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot equipment and processes, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective measures.
• Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with SQF, ISO, OSHA, and other safety and environmental regulations.
• Project Management: Capability in managing large-scale technical projects and maintenance programs.
• Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma: Knowledge and application of continuous improvement methodologies like Lean and Six Sigma.
Preferred Background:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
• Experience: 8-10 years of experience managing technical teams, preferably in a packaging or food manufacturing environment.
• Certifications: Lean or Six Sigma certification is advantageous.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with tools for automating and analyzing manufacturing data.
