Summary

As a Technical Trainer, you will be responsible for supporting the training needs of the Fab Manufacturing Area. Ensure product quality and output through effective implementation of training and continuous improvements. The position is a Flex schedule overlapping all production shifts, 5 days/week including 1 weekend day (Saturday or Sunday to be determined).
Responsibilities

  • Plans, schedules, and administers training sessions and manufacturing certification /re-certification procedures.
  • Provides training to new and current employees on department procedures and manufacturing operations.
  • Writes and evaluates new and existing documentation, providing updates and revisions to applicable documentation and training programs.
  • Accurately tracks the documentation of all training, certifications, and re-certifications.
  • Develops and delivers technical and non-technical training materials and courses.
  • Selects or develops teaching aids such as training guides, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, and reference works.
  • Effectively communicates and enforces clean room protocols and manufacturing procedures.
  • Conducts spot checks on the production floor to ensure compliance with business standards and practices.
  • Builds and maintains effective working relationships with all Newbury Park functional and supporting groups.
  • Works directly with engineering to ensure documentation reflects current processes and procedures.
  • Actively supports Core Teams with data collection and development of new procedures.
  • Effectively find ways to improve and streamline current production procedures.
  • Performs other duties, assignments, and responsibilities as assigned or required.
Required Experience and Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent required with a minimum of 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment. Previous training experience in manufacturing is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and basic PROMIS knowledge/experience.
  • Strong comprehension of cleanroom protocols and manufacturing procedures.
  • Excellent communication, written, and presentation skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and desire to work hands-on with others.
  • Strong team player with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Results-oriented, proactive, self-driven, and able to prioritize and schedule work effectively.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks at the same time.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $47,600 - $83,200 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others. Employees are eligible to participate in an incentive plan, and certain roles are also eligible for additional awards, including recognition and stock.
