Job Overview

Engineer Trainers are responsible for designing, developing, and delivering technical training programs focused on professional services delivery. This includes onboarding new engineers, upskilling existing staff, and supporting knowledge transfer across teams. Success in this role requires deep understanding of engineering workflows, customer project lifecycles, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into

effective learning experiences.


Candidates must possess strong communication and instructional skills, along with a solid foundation in engineering principles and professional services methodologies.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead hands-on technical training to ensure personnel are fully prepared to safely and effectively enter the factory floor and perform required tasks with minimal secondary or follow-up floor training.

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to create training materials, labs, and documentation aligned with current tools, technologies, and best practices.

  • Conduct live and virtual training sessions for internal staff, partners, and customers.

  • Maintain a centralized repository of training content, including recorded sessions, guides, and FAQs.

  • Continuously assess training effectiveness and update materials based on feedback and evolving business needs.

  • Support onboarding of new engineers by providing foundational training on systems, tools, and delivery processes.

  • Assist in troubleshooting and mentoring engineers on real-world project scenarios when needed.

  • Stay current with industry trends, tools, and technologies relevant to professional services delivery.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering discipline preferred

  • Strong background in engineering principles, specific software (e.g., CAD, PLC), or hardware.

  • 5+ years of experience in engineering or professional services delivery.

  • Manufacturing and maintenance experience preferred

  • Experience in instructional design or technical training is highly preferred.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to travel to domestic and international customer or office locations.

  • Self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational skills

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

  • Periods of working on feet and using tools while evaluating manufacturing equipment.

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.

  • Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced.

  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment as required for safety.
