Are you an experienced Technical Writer – Manufacturing & Technical Publications? If your answer is yes, it’s your lucky day as we are looking for a dynamic and talented person to join our team in the US! What will your role be? Scalian is seeking a Technical Writer – Manufacturing & Technical Publications to support the development, update, and standardization of both internal and customer-facing documentation. This role focuses on revising existing manuals, improving document structure and formatting, and ensuring content accuracy through close collaboration with engineering and technical teams. You will contribute to technical publications such as operation and maintenance manuals, while also supporting the creation and update of manufacturing work instructions for assembly processes. This position plays a key role in ensuring documentation is clear, consistent, and aligned with engineering intent and production needs. Activities: Update and revise existing technical publications (e.g., operation manuals, maintenance manuals), improving structure, clarity, and formatting Work with engineering and technical teams to gather, validate, and incorporate accurate technical content into documentation Standardize documentation formats and templates to ensure consistency across manuals and work instructions Create and update manufacturing work instructions (WI) to support assembly processes, including harness builds and mechanical assemblies Ensure all documentation is clear, user-friendly, and aligned with intended audience (operators, technicians, or customers) Manage document revisions and maintain proper version control within documentation systems Review documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with internal standards Support continuous improvement of documentation practices and processes What skills and qualifications are we looking for? 1–3+ years of experience in technical writing, documentation, or a related field Experience working with technical publications (manuals, maintenance documents, or similar) is a plus Basic understanding of manufacturing or engineering environments (assembly processes, mechanical systems, or similar) Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to structure and simplify technical information Comfort working with engineers and technical teams to gather and clarify requirements Familiarity with document formatting, templates, and style consistency Proficiency with common documentation tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or similar) Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple document updates simultaneously Why join us?
