The successful applicant will be responsible for creating technical documents and manuals, clearly and concisely explaining complex information, and working with scientific staff to produce and ensure accuracy of work deliverable. In this role, you will work with internal resources to gather, write, and publish technical product and process information for a variety of audiences (both technical and non-technical).Technical Writer Responsibilities:Plan, develop, organize, write, and edit written deliverable such as operational procedures, technical manuals, journal article drafts, white paper drafts, and conference abstract draftsResearch, develop, and document technical design specifications and software test plansProduce electronic documentation and hard copy manualsAnalyze documents to maintain continuity of styling of content and accessibilityManage updates and revisions to technical literatureProduce high-quality documentation that is appropriate for its intended audiencesWork with internal teams to gather requirements, information, and content for work deliverableProducing user interface text, online help guides, how to documents, and developer guidesEnsure plain language and 508 compliance standards are upheld across all material developmentOther duties as assignedTechnical Writer qualifications and skills:Bachelor’s degree in English, Communication, Journalism, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Technical Writing, Teaching, Curriculum Development or Scientific Publication (or 5 plus years technical writing experience)Proven experience working in a technical writing positionExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPlain language and 508 compliance requirementsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Office 365Strong attention to detailAble to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiencesSkilled at prioritization and multi-taskingPublic Health, Healthcare, or similar experience is a plusExposure to documentation publishing software (RoboHelp, Wiki-based)A positive attitude, willing to jump in and tackle new challenges #J-18808-Ljbffr
