Job Title: Technical Writer (Senior level)
Location: Austin, TX - local to Texas
Duration: Long term

Client: TCEQ-Texas Commission on Environmental Quality

Required skills:

  • 8 years Knowledge of the limitations and capabilities of computer systems and their integration with end user business processes
  • 5 years of experience with Web page user interface design
  • 5 years of experience with developing end-user documents for complex relational database applications
  • 5 years of Excellent communication skills, written and oral, with people of all technical levels
  • Five (5) years of full-time experience in information technology and/or database systems
  • 5 years of Ability to explain abstract concepts and terms.
  • 5 years Knowledge of database concepts such as referential integrity and data normalization
  • 5 years of experience with Oracle databases and familiarity with Oracle objects (tables, constraints, triggers, etc.).

Preferred skills:

  • 5 years of skill in preparing technical documents of varying complexities for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • 5 years of skill in analyzing and interpreting database applications, user practices, user reports, and user procedures

III. TERMS OF SERVICE

Services are expected to start 03/05/2024 and are expected to complete by 08/31/2024. Total estimated hours per Candidate shall not exceed 1000 hours. This service may be amended, renewed, and/or extended providing both parties agree to do so in writing.

  1. WORK HOURS AND LOCATION

Services shall be provided during normal business hours unless otherwise coordinated through the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, excluding State holidays when the agency is closed.

The primary work location(s) will be at 12100 Park 35 Circle Austin Texas 78753. Any and all travel, per diem, parking, and/or living expenses shall be at the Candidate's and/or Vendor's expense. Texas Commission on Environmental Quality will provide pre-approved, written authorization for travel for any services to be performed away from the primary work location(s). Pre-approved travel expenses are limited to the rates and comply with the rules prescribed by the State of Texas for travel by its classified employees, including any requirement for original receipts.
