Technician Electronics Dye Penetrant Ndi Tester Apply
The qualified candidate will be required to perform the following:
- Perform dye penetrant testing on weapons systems using specialized equipment.
- Independently provide technical guidance and technical assistance on assigned weapons systems. Investigate, analyze and resolve problems pertaining to the repair of the weapon systems assigned.
- Perform corrective and preventative maintenance, alignment, and calibration for automated test systems.
- Utilize knowledge of electronic concepts, principles, practices, and techniques in the operation, troubleshooting, alignment, repair and maintenance of test systems necessary to support a full range of projects concerned with producing, overhauling, or testing of air launched weapons systems.
- Perform modifications of test systems, subsystems, support equipment and software.
- Help department with other duties as needed, such as clerical, administrative etc.
Requirements
- Contractor must complete an Explosive Handler & Explosive Material Handling Equipment Operator 721 physical exam and meet the minimum functional requirements as marked on Form OMB No. 3206 – 0250 Part B by NWSY OCC HEALTH. Contractor is responsible for lab and/or medical appointment associated expenses however will be reimbursed once hired. See also section 4.2
- Must be qualified and certified for nondestructive testing and inspection in accordance with the National Aerospace Standard and the ANSI/ANST.
- A minimum of 10 years specialized experience related to electronics and electronic air launched weapons systems.
- Must have knowledge of how to reduce complex interrelated technical engineering data to an assessable form, conduct subsequent analysis/ assessment, draw conclusions and make recommendations in a readily understandable form for systems with complex technical interfaces.
- Must have the ability to perform modifications of test systems, subsystems, support equipment and software.
- Must have knowledge of the concept, principles, practices and techniques involved in the operation, troubleshooting, alignment, repair and maintenance of the AN/DSM 156 and the AN/DSM 152.
- Must achieve and maintain a secret security clearance.
- Must have the ability to work safely with Hazardous Materials in the performance of general duties.
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
- Light to moderate lifting may be required.
- Regular, predictable attendance is required.
