Technician III-Equipment (Machine Shop)The Technician III-Equipment (Machine Shop) supports operations and engineering by manufacturing, maintaining and/or reworking components, tools and fixtures.Job Responsibilities:Follow all safety procedures and consistently use required personal protective equipment (PPE).Operate, set up, and maintain CNC and manual machining equipment, including mills, lathes, presses, drills, surface grinders, belt sanders, and saws.Manufacture and modify components such as headers, covers, insulator boards, spacers, fixtures, and tooling according to specifications.Perform resurfacing of plates and dies using surface grinding equipment.Use hand tools and precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to inspect and verify part dimensions and quality.Conduct visual and dimensional inspections to ensure parts meet drawings, work instructions, and quality standards.Perform routine cleaning of parts, equipment, and work areas to maintain a safe and organized workspace.Utilize computer systems and ERP software to monitor work orders, track labor, and move parts through production.Perform preventive maintenance and assist with repairs on production equipment as needed.Apply basic math skills to calculate dimensions, tolerances, and machine setups.Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.Meet physical requirements, including standing for extended periods and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.Requirements/Qualifications:Required Experience:Minimum 3 years experience using machine shop equipment and tools to produce partsUse of computers in a work environmentExperience interpreting and understanding part drawingsDesired Experience:Experience operating CNC or computer controlled machining equipmentExperience machining various materials such as stainless steel, sheet metal, aluminum, plastics, and ceramicsExperience with Microsoft Excel and WordEducation:High school diploma or GED requiredVocational/technical school experience preferredU.S. Export Controls Requirements: This job requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by the export laws of the United States.
