Represent the company professionally while diagnosing, servicing, and repairing heavy construction equipment with precision and minimal callbacks. Key Performance Outcomes Diagnostic Accuracy (KPI: First-Time Fix Rate, Diagnostic Efficiency) Diagnose complex mechanical, hydraulic & electrical issues with a first-time fix rate of 90% or higher. Use OEM diagnostic tools and software to accurately interpret codes and error messages. Reduce average diagnostic time to under 2 hours for standard equipment. Job Completion and Productivity (KPI: Jobs Completed per Week, Downtime Reduction) Complete assigned service orders within the standard labor hours 95% of the time. Minimize equipment downtime through timely repairs and proactive maintenance. Prioritize workflow to support emergency service calls with Customer Satisfaction (KPI: CSI Score, Repeat Service Calls) Maintain a customer satisfaction score of 4.8/5 or higher through effective communication, professionalism, and education. Ensure zero repeat visits for the same issue within 30 days. Communicate clearly with customers regarding work performed, maintenance recommendations & follow-up. Team Collaboration (KPI: Peer Feedback, Knowledge Sharing Participation) Contribute to a positive team environment through regular knowledge sharing and mentorship. Participate in at least one peer-training or technical improvement session per quarter. Support team members in achieving collective service goals. Dependability & Work Ethic (KPI: Attendance, Job Readiness, Safety Compliance) Demonstrate consistent attendance and punctuality (zero unexcused absences per quarter). Maintain an organized, clean and well-stocked service truck and/or work area at all times. Uphold all safety protocols and report hazards immediately; achieve 100% safety training compliance. Key Competencies & Technical Skills Advanced mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems troubleshooting. Proficiency in using service software, diagnostic scanners, and repair manuals. Interpretation of schematics and technical documentation. Welding and fabrication experience is a plus. Strong customer-facing communication skills. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Technical or associate degree preferred; 5–7 years of field experience for senior roles. Entry-level candidates must hold a technical degree or certification. Proficient with parts lookup, OEM manuals, and service documentation platforms. CDL (Class A with airbrake, combination, and tanker endorsements) required within 3 months of hire. Own a complete set of tools (metric and standard hand and air tools). Must be able to lift 100 lbs., stand for extended periods, and work in various environmental conditions.
