Position Title: Technology Operations Specialist (LGA Robotics Program)
Reports to: Senior Manager of Innovation
Location: On-site LaGuardia Airport, New York City
Duration: 6-month contract (with potential extension)

About the Role

Client is seeking an energetic, tech-savvy Technology Operations Specialist to support and manage the on-site execution of our robotics program at LaGuardia Airport (LGA). This person will serve as the on-site expert, ensuring robotic technology is operated effectively, integrated smoothly into airport operations, and represented professionally to staff, clients, and the public.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, curious about new technology, and thrives in dynamic environments. They'll learn how to operate and maintain cutting-edge robotics systems, coordinate with airport and vendor teams, and be a visible ambassador for client's innovation efforts - communicating clearly, confidently, and positively with the public.

Key Responsibilities

Program Execution & Operations

  • Serve as the on-site operator and point of contact for ABM's robotics program at LGA.
  • Manage day-to-day deployment, charging, monitoring, and maintenance of robotic equipment.
  • Learn and master functions of the robotic system to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot basic technical issues and escalate to vendors or ABM's Innovation team as needed.

Stakeholder & Public Engagement

  • Represent ABM's innovation program with professionalism and enthusiasm to airport staff, clients, and the traveling public.
  • Provide friendly and informative interactions with passengers and partners - acting as the face of the robotics initiative.
  • Collaborate with airport operations, facilities, and vendor partners to ensure smooth coordination and transparency.

Data & Reporting

  • Capture operational data and performance insights for reporting to the ABM Innovation team.
  • Document lessons learned, feedback, and improvement ideas from the field.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure all activities comply with ABM, airport, and TSA safety standards.
  • Maintain awareness of operational zones and public interaction guidelines.

Qualifications

  • 2 4 years of experience in technology operations, facilities management, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in robotics, automation, or emerging technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - able to interact confidently with diverse stakeholders and the public.
  • High energy, professional demeanor, and customer-service mindset.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot, adapt, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable using tablets, dashboards, or connected technology platforms.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours (including occasional weekends or evenings) depending on airport operations.
  • Must be eligible to work on-site at LaGuardia Airport (security clearance process required).
